Our Story

From Talavera Lane to the Magical Mile

If you've ever crept down Talavera Ln in Edmond with your radio tuned to 106.1 and a car full of kids singing along, you already know us. The Magical Mile is designed and produced by the Miranda family - the crew behind Miranda Family Lights.

What started in 2015 as one family's home display grew into 80,000 synchronized lights, funky singing Christmas trees, giant glowing screens, and a spot on national television - with a line of cars that wrapped the neighborhood every December. Now the Mirandas are pouring that same passion into a mile and a half of lights, with room for every carload that used to wait around the block.

And yes - we will still be handing out free candy canes.

Giving Back

Lighting Up a Place That's Coming Back

Every year the home show ran, there was a donation bin at the end of the driveway - and most nights you'd find us working our way car to car, handing out free candy canes and collecting for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, the OKC Fraternal Order of Police, and whoever else needed a hand that season. Getting bigger was never going to mean leaving that part behind.

The Magical Mile runs at 7000 Crossroads Mall Dr - the property formerly known as Crossroads Mall. If you grew up in Oklahoma City, you remember it well. The Crossroads Renewal Project is the nonprofit working to fill it again, gathering quality schools, businesses, and services in one place for the children and families of Oklahoma City.

A portion of every ticket goes to that work. Our mile and a half of lights fills the parking lot of a place they're bringing back to life - we are so excited to be involved!

Yes! The Magical Mile is 100% drive-through. Stay warm and cozy in your own vehicle the entire time, with the holiday soundtrack playing through your car's FM radio.

Cars, trucks, and SUVs are all welcome - anything up to 9 feet tall. Taller vehicles like buses, limos, and RVs can't clear the light tunnels, so please leave them at home for this one.

The route is roughly a mile and a half of lights. Plan to take your time and soak it all in - most guests spend around 20-30 minutes cruising at an easy, magical pace.
